MINUTES OF  EPCG COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT 12:00 NOON ON 4­6­2007 UNDER CHARIMANSHIP OF DR. SHYAM AGARWAL, ADDITONAL DGFT                           EPCG Committee Meeting was held on 4­6­2007 with Dr. Shyam Agarwal, ADGFT in Chair.  List of participants is annexed.   2.         Chairman welcomed participants. After deliberations, the Committee took the following decisions:   2.1             M/s. Santogen Silk Mills Ltd., Mumbai.   Export  items  indicated  on  the  Licence  is  Polyester  Viscose  Blended  Fabrics  including  wool  blend.  Technical Authority certified nexus with export item excluding Wool Blend.  However, since the export item is described as Polyester Viscose Blended Fabrics including wool blend, it is not necessary for the licence holder to export wool blend. Hence, the case was approved.   2.2.           M/s. Hindalco Industries Ltd., Mumbai.   Committee rejected nexus in view of observations of DIPP in U.O. No. IPP/6/492/2003/BW/143 dated 19.10.2006 that “the items of import relate to the product Aluminum Wheels and not to the” Aluminum Foils” and thus DIPP do not support the proposed nexus”.   2.3.            M/s. Sanghi Industries Ltd. Ahmedabad.   Committee noted that details as to quantum of E.O. fulfilled till date, quantum of outstanding E.O., etc. has not been furnished by the firm. It was decided that details may be obtained, examined on file and put­up later on.    2.4             M/s. Kerala State Rubber Co­operative Ltd., Cochin.   Licenses have been issued by RLA, Cochin and therefore firm may be advised to approach concerned RLA for

Committee approved nexus subject to the condition, namely (i) Export items should be manufactured by the firm and should not include items procured from market, and (ii) Firm would produce a certificate from Central Excise to the effect that final installed C.G. has been assembled from imported components.   3.                     Meeting ended with a Vote of Thanks to Participants.
