Minutes of Exim Facilitation Committee Meeting - Indo-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (EFC-ISFTA No. 2/08) held on 20/6/2007 to Consider application for issue of import licence for Import of Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils (Vanaspati), Bakery Shortening, Margarine for the year 2007-08    An EFC Meeting was held on 20/6/2007 to consider the applications of Indian Importers for import of Vanaspathi/Bakery Shortening/ Margarine for the first quarter of 2007-08 under Indo-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement under the Chairmanship of Shri. Surat Singh. Additional DGFT.   2. Following Officials attended the meeting  1.      Shri. Rajeev Kumar, Deputy Secretary, FT (SA), DoC 2.      Shri. O.P Hisaria, Joint DGFT 3.      Shri. Rajeev Kumar, Under Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation 4.      Shri Subhash R, Deputy DGFT 5.      Shri. S.K Wadhwa, Deputy Director, DVVO&F   3. Committee observed that only six applications have been received for first quarter since the first meeting of EFC-ISFTA N0.1/08 dated 10/5/2007. Committee also noted that for import of Bakery Shortening and Margarine, no new application for first quarter has been received since the first meeting.   4.Committee decided that quota of vanaspati/ bakery shortening/ margarine under the agreement, which remains unapplied for in the first quarter lapses.   5.Considering the fact that first quarter is ending on 30.6.07, Committee decided to direct Regional Authorities to implement EFC decision by   25.
