Vide Circular No.CGEWCC/Mum/Holiday-2025/2024-25 dated 2" December, 2024, the final List of Holidays to be observed by the Central Government Offices in the State of Maharashtra during the Calendar Year 2025 has been approved and circulated by the Central Government Employees Welfare Co-ordination Committee, Mumbai.[Circular,][it][ has][ been][ mentioned][that][the][following][holidays][shall] Ze In the 2" para of[the] be changed subject to the decision of Government ofMaharashtra State and such decision shall be final in respect of these holidays :-

Vide Notification No. PHD-1 1258/C.R.174/Japuk.(29) dated 3" September, 2025 the Government ofMaharashtra has changed the date of Holiday on account of Eid-e-Milad from 5 September, 2025 (Friday) to 8" September, 2025 (Monday) for the District ofMumbai City and Mumbai Suburbs. As per the para 3 of the said Notification, other than the district of Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburbs, the District Collector in other districts of the State take decision considering, the date ofthe procession program taken by the Muslims in their districts, whether the Public Holiday declared on Friday, 5'" September, 2025 should be maintained or cancelled the same and to declare on Monday, 8"" September, 2025. 5. Following the decision of the Government of Maharashtra, the holiday on account of Id-e-Milad is changed to 8" September, 2025 in place of 5'* September, 2025 for the district of Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburbs. For the cities other than Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburbs, the Holiday on account of Id-c-Milad the date of public holiday Friday, 5 September should be maintained as it is.
