The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has been at the forefront of promoting and developing sports infrastructure across the country to strengthen India’s sporting ecosystem. In { urtherance of this objective, SAI has now established a dedicated Engineering Wing to provide technical support and expertise in the planning, design, and execution of sports infrastructure projects, including Fields of Play (FOPs).

  • Z. The Engineering Wing has been constituted with qualified professionals and experts who will assist State governments, Union Territories, and other stakeholders tn ensuring the development of cost-effective and technically sound sports infrastructure. The technical assistance offered by this Wing will include: | o Preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs) for new and existing sports infrastructure projects.

  • o Development of architectural and structural drawings, ensuring adherence to o nationalVetting andof designsinternationaland technicalstandards.feasibility assessments to enhance efficiency; and sustainability.

  • o Preparation of cost estimates, ensuring optimal utilization of resources. o Other related services

  1. These services will be extended at a nominal fee of 0.75% of the estimated project cost, providing technical assistance accessible to all stakeholders. It is expected that this initiative will facilitate the expeditious and efficient execution of sports infrastructure projects across the country. 4. State governments and other Central/State agencies engaged in the development of sports facilities are encouraged to collaborate with SAI’s Engineering Wing to avail of these services. This initiative aims to ensure uniformity and quality in sports infrastructure development. ultimately benefiting athletes and the sporting community of our country. 5. I request your kind attention to this matter and solicit your support in conveying this initiative to the relevant departments and agencies within yourjurisdiction. This will ensure that the expertise of SAI’s Engineering Wing for the effective execution of sports infrastructure projects is duly leveraged. 6.
