Sub.:- Enrollment / renewal of membership — EPCES

This is to inform that membership with EPCES is now mandatory for all the SEZ Units / SEZ Developers and Export Oriented Units (EOUs) as per the below instructions of the Government of India.

  1. Gazette Notification G.S.R (771-E) dated 05.08.2016 which provided that RCMC means membership certificate issued by Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs and that “The unit or the Developer including Co-developer shall obtain a Registration Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC) for availing exemptions, drawbacks and concessions.

  2. Public Notice 27/2015-2020 dated 28.08.2019 which authorises EPCES to issue RCMC to Export Oriented Units (EOUs).

  3. It is therefore advised that all the EOUs, SEZ Units and SEZ Developers including CoDevelopers may enrol themselves with the EPCES as a member and obtain RCMC so as to avail all the benefits under the EOU/SEZ scheme. Those members who have already obtained EPCES Membership are requested to renew / apply their membership for the period 2025-26.

  4. Membership from the Council can be easily obtained through online vide DGFT portal i.e www.dgft.gov.in. The Developers/Co-developers/Units have to fill in their details / data to obtain eRCMC. EPCES will examine and issue the same and membership certificate can be downloaded.
