Societies formed

for
the maintenance of the
buildings

are
insisting

on the outstanding amount

of odd units

from

new

entrepreneurs who

have

been

allotted space/gala

through

ariction by

etc. The Societies are directing them not
to
initiate

operations without payment of old dues. In
this
connection,

it is mentioned that the new unit are issued

LOAs

by
Development Commissioner after
approval

of Approval

Committee

based on the allotment

of space t}irough above process. Further, as per SEZ Rules, 19(4),
the
unit
shall
commence operatioxis within one year from the issuance of LOA. The unit is bound

to
achieve

NFE, employment

generation

, investment

in
time

bound manner

and
sliortfall

if any
in proposed

projections,

may result

in
adverse

remarks

by Approval

Committee.

The
delay in initiating

the
operations

will result

in
loss
of
foreign exchange on accornit of exports and
also
I[oss
of
employment thus
affecting

the
over

all growth

of
SEEPZ

SEZ
and defeating tlie prirpose

of SEZ Act/Rules. In view of the above,
it is hereby

directed

that
unit

not
be restricted

by any person, including any Society, in undertaking

operations without

written

approval

of Development

Commissioner. Any violation of these directions will be viewed seriously. This approval xssues of with
