SUB : Discontinuation of Printing of EP copy of the Shipping Bill —reg.

Attention of the Exporters, Custom Brokers and all concerned is invited to the DGFT Public Notice No. 52/2015-2020 dated 12.01.2018 regarding amendments in Ayat Niryat Forms (ANF) 4A, 4E, 4F, 4G, 4H & 41 of Handbook of Procedures 2015-2020 in hght of implementation of GST and non-issuance of EP copies of Shipping Bills by Customs Authorities.

2. The CBEC, in pursuance of ease of doing business initiative by reducing use of paper, vide Circular No. 55/2016-Customs dated 23rd November, 2016 decided to do away with the routine printing of EP copies of the Shipping Bills and accordingly Public Notice No 20/2016-17 dated 24.11.2016 was issued. However, on _ receiving representations from trade, the EP copies were being provided on request.

3. DGFT vide aforesaid Public Notice No. 52/2015-2020 dated 12.01.2018, has clarified that for Form ANF-4F “Application for Redemption/ No Bond Certificate against Advance Authorisation” (i) No hard copy of the Shipping Bill(s) shall be required to be filed for EO discharge for shipments from EDI ports and (ii) The applicant will have option to submit Exporter Copy of shipping bill in original duly signed by the Customs authority concerned in lieu of EP copy of shipping bill. Form ANF-4G “Application for issue of Transferable Duty Free Import Authorisation (DFIA) (including for ARO and Invalidation Letter)” (i) The applicant will have option to submit Exporter Copy of shipping bill in original duly signed by the Customs authority concerned in lieu of EP copy of shipping bill

4, In view of the aforesaid changes, Members from trade/Exporters are advised to avail benefit of aforesaid provisions/relaxations. 3. Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice should be considered as standing order for the purpose of officers and staff.
