Enclosed herewith is a copy of Ministry’s DO letter No. IICA-I58/10/2022-SOBE dt. 02.03.2023 and the programme brochure on the subject cited above. Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India has launched an online certification programme in "IICA Certified Business and Human Rights (BHR) Professional in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union. The programme aims at empowering business organizations to understand BHR Interface and to embed it in their policies and practices and to enable them to address associated risks by conducting Human Rights Due Diligence. Interested units/staff are requested to kindly participate in the above online certificate programme by Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India.

UNDP under its Business and Human Rights in Asia (B+HR Asia) project aims to enable Sustainable Economic Development in the region, through the Protect, Respect and Remedy Framework of the UN Guiding Principles (UNGPs) on Business & Human Rights (BHR). The project promotes the agenda on BHR by working with Asian governments, businesses and civil society in the implementation of the UNGPs at the national and regional level. The overall objective of the project is to prevent, mitigate and address human rights conditions in business operations and enable a more level playing field for businesses that demonstrate respect for human rights. As a key regional development partner, India plays a central role in promoting the implementation of the UNGPs in Asia.
