f. Reason for Transfer:

They intend to transfer half of their stock to Chennai FTWZ as they want to cover the East Coast Indian ports to ship their goods in less time and at a lower delivery cost. It takes considerable time for shipments to reach East Coast ports from JNPT and is also costly for their customers due to increased delivery charges.

g. OBSERVATION:

The original application on this subject was submitted by the unit on 27.06.2025 and the same was placed before the Approval Committee Meeting held on 19.08.2025. However, the proposal was deferred citing that the applicant had no valid reasons to submit this proposal. The unit was directed to furnish a detailed justification with supporting documents explaining the exceptional circumstances under which such application was submitted.

This office had issued a letter to the Specified Officer to examine the proposal in light of the applicable provisions and furnish their report. However, reply is still awaited.
