Attention is invited to the minutes of Approval Committee meeting of Moradabad SEZ held on 09.03.2023 wherein the agenda was taken up for the tak of providing clarity regarding export of products restricted under thë ötelin Trade Policy (FTP). It has been noted that relevant provisions üider sEZ Rules are as under : Ril 18(3) : The proposal shall also fulfill the following sector specific Yequthhents, namely: {(a) export of the goods from Special Economic Zones shall be subject B 9xport policy in force, as proided in Schedule 2 to the Indian Trade Cldssification (Harmonised System) of Export and Import Items, BO17:) Rül8 Fd.i General Conditions of Import and Export:- A unit may export dopds and services, including agro-products, partly processed goods, 3ub-a8semblies, components, by-products, rejects, waste or scrap Rbt prohibited items of exports indicated in the Import Trade Conttol (Harmonized System) Classifications of Export and Import tbems: 2 After detailed discussion, Approval Committee was of the view that "Any pröduot which is 'Restricted' for exports under the FTP, the Unit shall (obtain an 'Export License' from the office of DGFT for that bpeclHe product before exporting." 3, In view of the above, it is brought to the notice of all the SEZ units that the units under jurisdiction of Noida SEZ must comply with the provisions of Rule 18(3) read with Rule 26 of SEZ Rules, 2006. For the sake of clarity, all the LOAS issued would have this as one of the general conditions. This issues with approval of competent authority, NSEZ, Noida.
