Subject: - Introduction of facility of examination of DPD containers at port
terminal — reg. Attention of the Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers, Trade, Port Terminal Operators, Shipping Lines / Shipping Agents, CFSs and other stakeholders operating in the jurisdiction of Customs(Prev) Commissionerate, Jamnagar is invited to CBIC's Circular No. 29/2019-Customs dated 05.09.2019 issued from F.NO. 450/10/2016-CusIV, Public Notice No 08/2019 dated 11.09.2019 and Public Notice No. 12/2024-2025/CCP/JMR dated 19.02.2025 of this Commissionerate. 2. In this context, it is to state that the area i.e. Zone A, operated by M/s. APM Terminals Pipavav (Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited) was declared as Customs Area vide Notification No.03/2001 dated 07.02.2001 under Section 8 of the Customs Act,1962, and subsequently M/s. APM Terminals Pipavav (Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited) vide CCSP Notification No. 04/2001 dated 07.02.2001 appointed as the Customs Cargo Service Provider under the provisions of HCCAR,2009 in respect of the imported goods received in and exported goods brought into the notified area and for handling of such goods. The said CCSP Notification No. 04/2001 dated 07.02.2001 is renewed from time to time by this Commissionerate. Further, the said area i.e. Zone A has been declared for facility of the examination of DPD containers vide aforesaid Public Notice No. 12/2024-2025/CCP/JMR dated. 19.02.2025 of this Commissionerate. 3. In continuation of the aforesaid Public Notice No.12/2024-2025/CCP/JMR dated.

In continuation of the aforesaid Public Notice No.12/2024-2025/CCP/JMR dated. 19.02.2025, to reduce the dwell time of export cargo as well as of reefer container cargo (i.e. containers stuffed under the supervision of Customs officials), the facility of Direct Port Entry (DPE) is extended to aforesaid export containers of (i) AEO clients, (ii) reefer container export carqo (i.e. containers stuffed & sealed under the supervision of Customs officials as per Board's circular No.13/2018-Customs dated 30.05.2018 as amended) and of (iii) factory stuffed sealed containers of the manufacturer exporter, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed procedure for examination etc. to be carried out under the provisions of Customs Act,1962 and various rules/regulations/allied acts framed Page 1 of 2
thereunder in this regard.' Whenever an export container is selected for examination/inspection by the Risk Management System, then RMS instruction shall be executed and such container shall be inspected/examined at the designated area i.e. Zone A, operated by M/s. APM Terminals Pipavav (Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited) and proper procedure for further sealing etc. of export containers shall be carried out as per the existing rules/regulation/allied act of the Customs Act,1962 in force. 4. M/s. APM Terminals Pipavav (Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited) shall provide all infrastructure/logistics etc.

APM Terminals Pipavav (Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited) shall submit a monthly report of DPD/DPE/Reefer containers, availing these facilities, to the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs, CH, Pipavav regularly.
