Minutes of the 81st Unit Approval Committee Meeting of Kandla SEZ held on 12.05.2015 at 15.30 hrs. under the Chairmanship of Shri Upendra Vasishth, Development Commissioner, Kandla Special Economic Zone. ee te ee - Following were present:

Review/confirmation of the Minutes of last meeting (80th UAC)of the Approval Committee: Minutes of the last meeting of Approval Committee were reviewed.

81.1 New Proposals to set up units in KASEZ.

81.1.1M/s. Global Brand Resources Pvt.Ltd.

Their proposal was for setting up a manufacturing unit in KASEZ for manufacturing activity of food processing of various items which are falling under the free category as per Import/Export Policy. The FOB value of export projected is Rs.5200.00 Lakhs with foreign exchange outgo of Rs.2595.00 lakhs and the Net Foreign Exchange earnings will be Rs.2705.00 Lakhs. They requested for an area of 1000 sq.mtrs. to implement the project. There will be an employment of 48 people. The Committee approved the proposal subject to condition that they will participate in the open bidding for getting suitable space for their project. 81.2 Broad banding request in existing LoA & miscellaneous cases. 81.2.1 M/s. Ansa Polymers Ltd. KASEZ ~ They are an approved unit in KASEZ for manufacture of Recycled LDPE, HDPE, PP and Polycarbonate Flakes. Their request was for permission to install Weighing Bridge of 100 MT capacity in their premises for their own vehicle purpose. The representative of the Unit informed that the weigh bridge is only for their own use and

KAsEz Kauuile Speci’ Economic Zone not Minutes of 80° Unt for any commercial use. The Committee approved subject to the condition that the unit shall not use the weigh bridge for any commercial purpose.

81.2.2 M/s. Baccarose Perfumrs & Beauty Products Put.Ltd., KASEZ.

& They are an approved unit in KASEZ for manufacture and trading of Cosmetics Toiletries. Their present request was for broadbanding their LoA for addition of items for their Trading Activity covered under Chapters 8,9,10,12,15,21 & 29 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1965 which are falling under free category as per Import Export Policy. They had also requested for permitting for Manufacturing activity and trading activity under single LoA as “Authorised Operations” under Rule 19 of SEZ Rules, 2006. The Committee after due deliberation approved Trading Activities covered under _ Chapter 21 & 29 only. The Committee informed to the representative of the unit that, for other items they applied for Trading, they may approach the DC Office on case to case basis, with specific Order. The Committee has also approved, after due deliberation, that Manufacturing Activity and Trading Activity are permitted under single LoA as “Authorised Operation”. However, the Unit should maintain separate accounts for Manufacturing Activity as well Trading Activity and figures of both the activities should be shown separately in the APR and the Net Foreign Exchange for both the activities should be positive.

81.2.3 M/s. Sujan Oil & Gas Infra Logistics, KASEZ.

They are an approved unit in KASEZ for warehousing of Oil Exploration Activity related equipments. Their request was for broad banding of their LoA for 1445 items falling under free category as per Import/Export Policy. The Committee after due deliberation decided that their present request for broad banding requires detailed examination. However, the Committee informed to the representative of the firm that in the meantime, they may come up with specific item for approval in case of urgency. The Committee therefore deferred the proposal.

81.2.4 M/s. Srikaram Prescience, KASEZ.
