Addendum to AVSEC CIRCULAR No. — 20/ 2004

Subject: Security of Courier Bags and Unaccompanied Consignments Forwarded by Courier Companies — reg.

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5A of the Aircraft Act, 1934 (XXII of 1934), read with Rule 3 (b) of the Aircraft (Security) Rules, 2011, Director General, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. for the purpose of the safety and security of passengers. crew. ground personnel and the general public in all matters relating to safeguarding against acts of unlawful interference with civil aviation, directs that in partial modification in this Bureau AvSec Circular No. 20/2004, the following amendments are made;

1. Now. Point No. 5 mentioned in certificate given at Annexure — “A” to circular No 20/2004 dated 27/09/2004 shall be read as:

Quote (.) Currency, Gold and Silver (.) Unquote.

in Place of

Quote (.) Currency, Gold , Silver, Jewellery and any other precious or semiprecious items (.) unquote.

z All other provisions of BCAS AvSec Circular No. 20/2004 dated 27.09.2004 shall remain unchanged. This addendum shall come into force with immediate effect. 3: This is issued after the approval of Director General, BCAS.
