Sub: Time bound for processing of Duty Drawback
Dear Sirs,
We would like to inform you all that the CBIC, Duty Drawback Division has issued Instruction No. 21/2020- CUSTOMS dated 16th December, 2020 instructing all the stakeholders that according to the action plan of CBIC for 2020-21 all remaining duty drawback claims to be disposed of by 31.03.2021
It has been clearly instructed that 90% of the Drawback should be credited within a time period of 3 days and refund to be deposited into customer account within 5days. CBIC has already instructed vide circular dated 24th Aug 2018 to authorized banks that the refund of the drawback amount to the exporters account to be done on the same day of receiving the computerized customs drawback advice.
So, members take note of the same instructions and approach the concerned departments to clear the pendency of duty drawback.
