Circular on Compliance Information Portal(CIP) by CBIC

Dear Members,

This is to bring to your attention the below new initiative of CBIC under Single Window Project.

Under the National Single Window Project, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is developing the Compliance Information Portal (CIP) to provide procedural and regulatory information on import and export of goods, besides the duty structure. CIP aims to give Customs Tariff Heading (CTH) wise information for 10000 plus CTHs. It gives stage wise steps and procedures and also information about regulatory agencies, their location etc.

The portal can be visited at https://www.cip.cbic.gov.in/CIP/#/home

At this development stage, it is decided to get the feedback on the portal. You are, therefore, requested to visit the portal and kindly give your valuable feedback at the link provided below: https://forms.gle/trjEpcKFjwzsGUZX8 & https://www.cip.cbic.gov.in/CIP/#/feedbac k

The portal contains information related to duty, export / import process flow etc. All exporters / importers are requested to explore the portal specially w.r.t the Tariff Entries covered by your area of business and see whether the information available on CIP is correct. Members can check the ITC Hs codes pertaining to their area of business.

The 2017 list of complete HS Codes from DGCIS website and few of the screen shots of the portal prepared by the undersigned is enclosed for ready reference.

Discrepancies, may be mentioned in the feedback on the above link so that portal provides updated information.

Please check all the CTHs pertaining to your product and if any discrepancy is noticed, it may please be submitted in the google form (link given above) enabling CBIC to provide correct information in the portal.

As the response has to be given as early as possible, you are requested to go through the website and do the needful by Saturday 27th June 2020.
