Sub: Declaration of Results of the Election for, Panel Members, Regional Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Committee of Administration (CoA) of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council for the term 2020-22.

Dear Sir,

As per Rule 10 (iv) of the Election Rules, the online voting process for the Gold Jewellery Panel & Other Precious Metal Jewellery Panel- Reserved Category (EH/TH/STH/SSTH), Silver Jewellery Panel, and Regional Chairman -Northern Region of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council for the term 2020-22 was held from 20th March 2020 to 26th March 2020.

As per Rule 10 (vii) of the said Election Rules, the retrieval process of such Votes from the online electronic voting system was held on 09th June 2020 at 4.00 PM and displayed vide electronic mode through ‘’CISCO WEBEX’’ system facility in the digital presence of Candidates or their Authorised representative.

6. SYNTHETIC STONES/COSTUME FASHION JEWELLERY & SALES TO FOREIGN TOURIST PANEL- (UNRESERVED CATEGORY)

Nominations were called for one vacant post in this Panel which was reserved for MSME representation as per the outcome of the process of Draw of Lots conducted by the Election Authority on 22nd October 2019. However, no nomination was received from the reserved category (MSME) for this panel and a nomination of MR. BADRI NARAYANAN GUPTA from M/S G.S. EXPORTS which was filed under the General category was received by the Election Authority. Based on the provisions of Article 27.4 (c) of the Articles of Association of the Council and its due diligence with the opinion of an independent professional, the single nomination of MR. BADRI NARAYANAN GUPTA of M/S G.S. EXPORTS was considered valid by the Election Authority and being the only nomination filed in the Panel, is now declared elected unopposed.
