Sub: Special Refund and Drawback Disposal Drive – Implementation of decision to
expedite pending refund and drawback claims – reg.
Dear Members,
In view of COVID-19 pandemic, Ministry of Finance, Government of India has issued a number of
measures to mitigate the hardship caused to the trade and industry and other stakeholders.
GJEPC has been continuously taking up trade facilitation measures with the respective
departments. Pending Duty Drawback claims is one such matter We are pleased to inform
that Revenue Department has now decided that all pending Customs refund and drawback
claims shall be expeditiously processed and released by April 30, 2020. This decision has been
announced vide Customs Instruction No.03/2020 dated 9th April 2020 issued by the Department
of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

Members may please take note of the above immediately follow up with the concerned department in their region for getting refunds.
