24th March 2020 To, ALL MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL Dear Members, In the wake of COVID-19 outbreak, Council consulted the industry, collated the requirements to mitigate the stress that the industry is going through and shared them with the Government. We are happy to inform you that the Central Board of Indirect taxes and Customs (CBIC) has come out with a Notification No. 16/2020- Customs dated 24th March, 2020 that extending exemption from IGST and compensation cess to EOUs on imports till 31st March 2021. Members may download the detailed Customs Notification from our website www.gjepc.org.
