The Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission presents its compliments to the Mission of India to the European Union and has the honour to notify it that the European Commission has received a properly documented complaint requesting the initiation of an anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of Barium Carbonate originating in India.

Should the European Commission decide to initiate an anti-dumping proceeding, information, including copies of the notice of initiation, the complaint, and a link to the questionnaires will be provided to the Mission of India to the European Union immediately upon publication of the notice of initiation of the anti-dumping proceeding in the Official Journal ofthe European Union. The Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission wishes to bring to the attention of the Mission of India to the European Union that should the proceeding be initiated, in view of the potentially large number of exporting producers in India involved «and in order to complete the investigation within the statutory time-limits, the Commission may limit the exporting producers that will be investigated to a reasonable number by selecting a sample.
