Sub: Waiver of late fee on account of updation of changes vide Budget 2024-25 in System - reg.

Attention of all Importers, Exporters, Custom Brokers, Custodians, General Trade under the jurisdiction of Mumbai Customs Zone-Ill, all other stakeholders and all taxpayers is invited towards the ICES Advisory No - 12/2024 dated 22.07.2024 regarding updation of changes vide Budget 2024-25 in System. As per advisory, the filing of Bills of Entry was not available in ICEGATE from 11:00 AM on 23.07.2024 till the completion of updation of all changes in ICES.

  1.   In this regard, it is observed that some importers could not file the

Bill of Entry due to this non-availability of the system.

  1.   In view of the above, "late Fee" imposable in terms of Bills of Entry

(Forms) amendment Regulations, 2017 vide Notification No. 27/2017- Customs (N.T.) dated 31.03.2017 will be waived off in respect of Bills of Entry, filed belatedly, which pertains to IGMs filed from 11:00 AM on 23.07.2024 till 04:00 PM on 24.07.2024. The necessary compliance is to be done by DC/AC of the concerned Groups. 4.

Difficulty, if any, in implementation of this public notice should be brought to the notice of the Joint Commissioner (EDI) or Assistant Commissioner (EDI), ACC & EDI section, ACC, Mumbai may be contacted for any further assistance. 5. This Public notice shall be considered as a Standing Order for the purpose of Officers and staff of the department.
