.Sub :E:ntitlement under MEIS for EXport of goods through courier Kind attention of Exporters, Authorised Couriers, Customs Brokers, Express .Industry Council of India, Members oftrade and all concerned is invited to Notification No. 69/2018.- Customs (N.T) dated 3n!AugUst, 2018 whereby the following amendment in the Courier Imports & Exports (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Regulations, 2010 ( hereinafter referred to. as the said relWlations) have. been effected:';-r .. '- • In the sai? regulations, in regulation 2, in the sub-regulation (2), - (il in clause (b), for tile proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:- .• Provided that this sub-clause shall not apply to goods notified in Appendix 3C ofthe Foreign Trade Policy (2015-2020),. unde,: the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) in consignment ojvalue up tofive lakh rupees and involving transaction inforeig!}-.exchangei~i, " _. _ _ . (ii) in clause (c), in sub-clause (ii), for the words, 'twenty five thousand", at both the places where they occur, the words "five lakh" shall be substituted.' In view of above, the provision of Regulation 2, sub-regulation (2), ,clause (b). of the said regulations,shall not apply to goods notified in Appendix 3C ofForeignTrade Policy (2015-2020), to be exported under Merchandise Exports from India Schemes (MElS) in consignment of value up to five lakh rupees and involving transaction in foreign exchange. Further, in view of amendment made at (ill above, the said regulations shall not apply to export of goods where the value of consignment is above rupees five lakh and transaction in foreign exchange';s involved. Public Notices issued by this Customs House relating to the said Regulation stands modified to the above extent and shall continue to be in operation to the extent they are consistent with this public notice.
