SUB: Application of Renewal of appointment of M/s. Spicejet Ltd. as Custodian (Customs Cargo Service Provider) for the purpose of transhipment of import cargo from ACC. Mumbai to destination Custom Stations within India-reg M/s SpiceJet Limited, having their registered office at 319, Udyog Vihar, Phase-IV, Gurugram 122016, Haryana, India (herein referred to as M/s. SpiceJet), vide Public Notice No. 87/2023 dated 18.12.2023, was granted permission, for the purpose of transshipment of import cargo meant for transshipment by air from/to Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai to/from Five (05) destination Customs stations viz. Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai within India and appointment of M/s SpiceJet as Carrier (Customs Cargo Service Provider) for the purpose of transshipment of Import cargo meant for transshipment by Air from/to Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai to/from destination Customs stations within India. The said permission was valid till 22.11.2024. 2. Whereas, M/s. SpiceJet has executed a Bond of Rs. 10,00,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Crore only) for transshipment of Import cargo by Air from Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai to destination Customs stations, which is valid up to 22.11.2025. 3. And Whereas, M/s. SpiceJet has submitted a auto Renewal Bank Guarantee amounting to Rs. 1,50,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore Fifty Lakhs only) valid till 22.11.2025 for Import Transshipment Cargo issued by Yes Bank Ltd. on behalf of M/s. SpiceJet Ltd. 4. And Whereas, M/s. SpiceJet has requested for grant of renewal of permission for the purpose of transshipment of Import cargo meant for transshipment by Air from Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai to five (05) destination Custom stations viz; Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai within India. 5. Now, therefore, 1, Nilank Kumar, Commissioner of Customs (General), Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai in exercise of the powers vested to me under Section 45(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, hereby renew the permission to M/s. SpiceJet Limited, for the purpose of transshipment of Import cargo meant for transshipment by air from Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai to Five(05) destination Custom stations viz; Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai within India and appoint M/s. SpiceJet Limited, as Carrier(Customs Cargo Service Provider) for the purpose of transshipment of Import cargo meant for transshipment by air from Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai to destination Customs stations within India. 6.   Transshipment of import cargo being permitted as per this Public Notice shall be
   

governed by:- (a) The provisions of Chapter VIII of the Customs Act, 1962. (b) Goods Imported (Conditions of Transshipment) Regulations, 1995. (c) Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 (as amended). (d) CBIC Circular No. 69/99-Cus dated 06.10.1999 as amended by Boards Circular No.61/2000-Cus dated 13.07.2000, 79/2001-Cus dated 07.12.2001 and 06/2007-Cus dated 22.01.2007 (e) Public Notice No. 23/2000 dated 08.11.2000 read with Public Notice No. 12/2004 dated 27.03.2004, Public Notice No. 18/2005 dated 28.07.2005 and Public Notice No. 09/2007 dated 02.03.2007. (f) Any other Rules, Regulations, Notifications, Instructions, Circulars & Public Notices issued from time to time. 7. The said permission shall be valid till 22.11.2025, i.e. the earliest date of expiry of required bond/bank guarantee submitted by M/s. SpiceJet Limited as mentioned in the para 2 & 3 above.
