After deliberation, Committee considered the request of the Developer and approved the list of material required to maintain, upkeep, and upgrade of infrastructure for authorised operations (i.e. Air Conditioning of Processing Area) totally valued at Rs.0.1419 Crore duly certified by the Chartered Engineer Ashish Deshmukh, AM 100232-8, in terms of Rule 12(2) of SEZ Rules, 2006.

a. Proposal : Proposal dated 05.12.2024 submitted by M/s Infosys Limited, SEZ-Developer II, located at Plot No.1, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjewadi, Phase-I, Pune-411057 for approval of List of Material for authorized operation of Special Economic Zone (SEZ). b. Specific Issue on which decision of AC is required: -
Approval for List of material required by Developer to carry out default authorized operations as per Instruction No.50 & 54 approved by Board of Approval in terms letter No.F.1/9/2019-SEZ Dated 06-Dec- 2019, totally valued at Rs. 1.0583 Crore. c. 1.0583 Duty Foregone Amount 19.05 Lakhs Other Information: - M/s Infosys Limited, SEZ-Developer II has been granted Letter of Approval No. F.1/9/2019-SEZ dated 06.12.2019. The developer has submitted List of Materials duly certified by the Chartered Engineer (Name- Ashish Deshmukh, Registration No. AM 100232-8, for the infrastructure to be developed, Maintained, and upgraded in respect of SEZ, area, located at M/s Infosys Limited, SEZ-Developer II, Plot No.1, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjewadi, Phase-I, Pune-411057. The Developer has informed that the list of material required to Maintain, upgrade, and upkeep of Infrastructure Viz.,1) Building No. 1,2,10,11,14,15 admeasuring space of 3,54,321 Sq ft (Approx.) of their existing developed SEZ sector specific for IT /ITES. The total value of said materials is Rs. 1.0583 Crore. The Specified Officer after verifying the List of materials has ascertained and certified that that these items are required for the Developer’s default authorized operations and approval sought for list of materials is in order and therefore same may be approved.
As per the report the estimated value of list of material is 105.83 lakhs and the duty involved amounts to 19.05 lakh in the value of materials being procured is covered by the bond accepted. e. ADC’s Recommendation: Genuineness of Chartered Engineer has been verified from the website of “The Institution of Engineer (India) (IEI) (www.ieindia.org). It is found that Shri Ashish Deshmukh is a member of “The Institution of Engineer (India) (IEI)” having Registration Number AM 1002328 and he is from Production Engineering background. Approval Committee may consider the request of the Developer for approval of list of material as per Rule 12(2) of SEZ Rules, 2006.
