Attention is invited from Indian citizens to appear in Customs Brokers Examination as per Regulations 4 and 6 of Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018 (as amended) issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue/ National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics, Palasamudram (Newspaper advertisement dated 31.08.2024 regarding Notice for Customs Brokers Examination, 2025 by NACIN, Palasamudram). It is hereby notified that the written examination under Regulation 6 of the Customs Broker Licensing Regulations (CBLR), 2018, as amended, which is a prerequisite for grant of Customs Broker license, will be conducted in the © month of March-2025 at the designated centres across India. Applicants should carefully choose the Policy Section while filling out the application form in CBLMS. Policy Section means the Customs - Commissionerate having jurisdiction over the area where the applicant intends to carry business. The list of Policy Section is available on the CBLMS Portal under the tab "Contact Us". It is essential to ensure that the application form is filled out and submitted with complete and accurate information, as it can be submitted only once. The complete “F Category Exam & License” application must _be submitted from 22.10.2024 to 21.11. 2024 up to 2400 Hrs in online mode only on the CBLMS Portal (https://cblms.gov.in).

The applicant must pay the prescribed fee of T 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) either online in the“F Category Exam & License” application form or through a manual challan at the Policy Section and upload a copy of this manual challan in the“F Category Exam & License” application. No application will be accepted without successful payment of the fee.

4. Names of applicants found eligible to appear in examination will be displayed on the notice board and/or website of the Mumbai Customs Zone-I (www.mumbaicustomszonel.gov.in) latest by 08.12.2024.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of two and half hours (10:30 hrs to 13:00 hrs) duration. Questions will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi. The pattern of the examination shall be as follows:

The syllabus of examination is prescribed in Regulation 6(7) of the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018, as amended. Those qualifying in the said examination will have to appear for oral examination in terms of Regulation 6 of the said Regulations.

7. The oral examination will be held during the second quarter of the calendar year 2025. The pass percentage marks for qualifying in the oral examination shall be 60%.

In terms of the Guidelines dated 29.08.2018 issued by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) and circulated by CBIC vide letter dated 10.10.2018 pertaining to the persons with benchmark disability, it is hereby advised that eligible candidates meeting these criteria of benchmark disability and willing to avail the benefit of these guidelines should appropriately intimate about their eligibility and willingness, duly substantiated with documentary evidence, so that necessary arrangements can be made by the exam conducting authority and its partner agencies.

A dummy question paper for the purpose of awareness of candidates will be made available on the CBIC and NACIN websites www.cbic.gov.in and www.nacin.gov.in under the icon/tab <GSTP/CBLR EXAM> from February, 2025. A link to download the admit card will also be provided therein. Admit cards shall also be sent by e-mail to eligible applicants 12 days in advance before the date of examination. For convenience of candidates, other necessary details like list of centers, guidelines to the candidates, help desk, e-mail id. etc will also be made available under the said icon/ tab. Successful candidates will be called for an oral examination for which separate communication will be sent.

10. For any query regarding eligibility and process of application, please refer to the Customs Broker Licensing Regulations (CBLR), 2018, as amended, available at the websites (www.cbic.gov.in and www.nacin.gov.in) or contact the nearest Customs Commissionerate. A helpline will be made operational by the NACIN at e-mail id (cblr-nacinpsm@gov.in) from the start date of application submission till the date of exam.

In case the declarations/Signature made and /or documents furnished are found to be false/incorrect/ forged at any time before or after the said examination or even after the grant of the Customs Broker license, not only the application would be liable to be rejected or license to be cancelled but also an appropriate action/proceeding would be initiated against the candidate as per provisions of Customs Broker licensing regulation (CBLR), 2018, as amended and any other law for the time
