Under Export Transhipment (ETP) module for movement of export cargo from one customs locations to a gateway customs location, when ETP is filed at the first customs location, transhipment bond is mandatory for transhipment of cargo. As per Regulation 9(c) of SCMT Regulations 2018, no transhipment bond is required for transhipment of goods directly between two sea ports, through the sea route. Accordingly, necessary changes have been made in the System, and transhipment bond is no longer mandatory for transhipment of goods directly between two sea ports, through the sea route.
