‘Sub: Pending drawback claims due to non-submission of Replies.

Attention of all the exporters, customs Brokers, other stakeholders and members of the trade is invited to the Public Notice No. 71/2019 dated 29.08.2019 and Public Notice No. 30/2020 dated 21.04.2020 issued by this Custom House, to the fact that a large number of Drawback claims is pending due to non-submission of reply to query raised.

eas Several reminders were issued to the exporters to submit their reply so that their drawback claim can be processed but no reply was received. Therefore, PN No.30/2020 dated 21.04.2020 was issued alongwith list of Shipping Bills pending at query requesting exporter to submit reply at the earliest to enable this custom house to liquidate such pendency.

a In fact, it is the responsibility of the Exporters/CHAs/Other stakeholders to check the status of their drawback claim against a shipping bill through ICEGATE and if any query is raised by the drawback section, they should submit their reply after viewing the status. 4. However, in light of no reply to queries within 30 days after issuance of Public Notice as mentioned above from the exporters/CHAs/ Other stakeholders, their claims were processed as Zero in absence of the requisite documents/ clarifications without affecting the right of the exporter to claim the drawback amount by filing supplementary claim subsequently.

oi The exporters can file the supplementary claims as per Rule 16 of the Duty Drawback Rules, 2017 alongwith the requisite documents/clarifications within stipulated time period as specified in lawwhereintheir drawback claims have been processed @ZERO. ir — -
