Sub: Process of denaturing of thy! Alcohol in Customs Bonded Warchousc- reg. Attention of members of Trade. Industry and CHAs ts invited to NCH Public Notice No. 2902017 dated 09.03.2017 regarding procedure in respect of discharge and clearance of Liquid Cargo in Bulk for Home Consumption/warchousing as per new warchouse licensing revulations. 2016. As per para 16vix) of the said public notice. denaturing of ethyl alcoho! was permitted only in the customs bonded warehouses having permission under Section 65 of the Customs Ack 1902. ™ In NCH Public Notice No, 79/2019 dated (04.09.2019. it has been clarified that any activity, Which is required to be undertaken to fulfil statutory compliance requirements would be allowed in all customs bonded warchouses. without requiring permission under section 65. im Iherefore, wherever denaturing of ethyl alcohol ts required to fulfil statutory compliance. permission under section 65 of Customs Act. 1962 shal] not be required. 4, Vie Public Notice shall come into force with immediate effect. Difficulties. if any. faced during implementation of this public notice. may immediately be brought to the notice of the undersigned. U
