Subject: Designation of Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) under Principal Commissioner of Customs (General) — reg. eeee edad

• Attention of the citizens of India is drawn on the above subject.

1. Attention is invited to Public Notice No.139/ 2018 dated 02.11.2018 wherein Shri Vivekanand Rai, Deputy Commissioner has been designated as CPIO under the provisions of Section 5(2) of Right to Information Act, 2005 within the jurisdiction of the Principal Commissioner of Customs (General) except CFS Mulund and Public Notice No. 17/2019 dated 18.03.2019 wherein Shri Mahender Kumar, DC and Shri Hemanga Phukon, DC have been appointed to act as CPIO (Link Officer-1 and Link Officer-2 of Shri Vivekanand Rai respectively) during the period in which the later is on leave or nor present in the office.

2. Now, since all the aforesaid three officers have been deputed for Election duty in the General Election to the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies of some States, 2019, Shri B.G. Amrutsagar, Assistant Commissioner of Customs is appointed to act as CP1IO during the period in which the aforesaid officers are on Election duty.
