RECRUITMENT OF MERITORIOUS SPORTSPERSONS Applications are invited from meritorious sportspersons in the following disciplines for appointment in the cadre of Hawaldar Level-I in pay matrix (Rs. 18,000-56,900) as per 7th CPC in Mumbai Customs. Name of Post Age Limit Pay Scale Educational Qualification Physical Standards Hawaldar (Gr. ‘C’) The age limit will be between 18 and 27 years of age as on 31.12.2018 (the closing date of receipt of application). He/She must have been born not earlier than 31.12.1991 and not laterthan 31.12.2000.Relaxation upto3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years in case of SC/ST Candidates. For exceptional achievements in Sports/Game and those candidates who fulfil all other eligibility condition with necessary certificate, age will be relaxable upto 5 years and 10 years in the case of SC/ST. Pay Matrix L-I Rs. 18,000/- to 56,900/- as per 7th CPC Matriculation Or equivalent from any recognised Board.

Male Candidates: Height- 157.5cms (Relaxable by 5cms in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and member of the ST). Chest: 81 Cms (fully expanded with minimum expansion of 5 Cms) Physical Test: Walking 1600 meters in 15 minutes and cycling 8Kms in 30 minutes. Female Candidates: Height-152 Cms, Weight-48 Kgs, Height relaxable upto 2.5 Cms and weight by 2 Kgsin case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and member of the ST Physical Test: Walking 1 Km in 20 minutes and cycling 3 Kms in 25 minutes.

Eligibility: The candidates should have represented the Country in an International Competition/State in Senior National Competition/University in an Inter-University Competition/State in Jr. /Youth National Competition. Sports Persons/Candidates are requested to submit duly filled form in Annexure –‘A’ to this office latest by 31.12.2018. Departmental Candidates should route their applications through proper channel. Only those player who had represented India/State/University of Junior/Youth State at present or have represented the same for past 04 years 2018-17,2017-16, 2016-15 and 2015-14 need to apply. Selection Process: The eligible candidates will have to appear in the practical/field tests relevant to the sports discipline. No travelling allowance will be paid to the applicants. Only self-attested copies of the relevant documents should be submitted (no original certificate is to be sent). Incomplete applications (Annexure-‘A’) shall not be entertained. Only eligible candidates will be called for the performance test. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates under any circumstances in this regard. Please indicate on the left hand top corner of the application envelope the appropriate category i.e. Gen/OBC/SC/ST. Please also indicate on the envelope the category of sports discipline for which the application should be considered.
