TheappraisingworkofGroupVII,hithertohandledbyerstwhileExport-I& Export-IlCommissionerates,shallbetransferred to therespectiveimportassessing groups,undertheImportCommissioneratesI&II. 2. SpecialInvestigation and Intelligence Branch (Import)shallas hitherto continuetobeunderadministrativeandfunctionalcontrolofCommissioner(ImportI). SIIB(Export),hithertounderadministrativeandfunctionalcontrolofCommissioner(Export I),shallnow beunderthejurisdictionofCommissioner(Export).SIIB(Import)andSIIB (Export)shallexercisejurisdictioninrespectofimportandexportmattersrespectively, overtheentireMumbaiCustomsZone–I. 3. CIUandSIIB(G)aremergedintoasingleentitytobecalledCIUunderthe functionalandadministrativecontrolofthePrincipalCommissionerofCustoms(General). StandingOrderNo.17/2016dated25.10.2016refers. 4.There-organisedCommissioneratesofthiszone,withtheirchargesshallbe thusasunder:- Sr. No. Commissionerate Charges 1. Import-I AppraisingGroupsIV,VA,VB,VIandImportassessment underExportpromotionschemespertaining to above groups,ContractCell,ImportNoting,Appraising(Main), SIIB(I),DocksandMCD. 3. Import-II AppraisingGroupsI,IA,IIA,IIB,IIIandImportassessment underExportpromotionschemespertaining to above groups,Appraising (Main),Appraising (General),SVB, Bonds,PostalAppraisingSection,DEPBMonitoringCell andCentralisedRefundSection.

CustomsAudit i) TheCommissioneratewillhandletheAuditof assessmentofimportedgoodsorexportgoodsorof anauditeeundertheCustomsAct,1962andwould include: (1)ThematicAudit(DeskReview), (2)TransactionalAuditincludingRMS-PCAsections, (3)OnSitePostClearanceAudit(OSPCA) 6. Appeals Appealcases of allCommissionerates in Mumbai CustomsZone–I. EachoftheCommissioneratesviz.General,Import-I,Import-IIandExportwillhave theirseparateTaxRecovery,Legal,Review,TribunalCoordination Unit,Prosecution, Statistics,Audit(CERA),RTI,Adjudication,SevottamandAdministrativesections. 5.AnyworknotspecificallyassignedaboveshallbelookedafterbyPrincipal Commissioner(General). 6.Theabovemodificationscomeintoforcewithimmediateeffect. 7.AllmembersoftheTradearerequestedtonotetheaforesaidmodificationsand circulatethesameamongsttheirmembers.
