NOTICE FOR ORAL HEARING

Subject: Oral hearing in Anti-Dumping Investigation concerning imports of Aluminium

Foil 80 micron and below from China PR, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Anti-Dumping Investigation concerning imports of Aluminium Foil 80 micron and below from China PR, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand initiated on 20th June 2020 under the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995 (AD Rules). As per Rule 6 (6) of the AD Rules “The Designated Authority may allow an interested party or its representative to present the information relevant to the investigation orally but such oral information shall be taken into consideration by the Designated Authority only when it is subsequently reproduced in writing”.

In pursuance of the aforesaid provision and the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, the Designated Authority has scheduled an oral hearing in the matter through digital video conference (DVC) on
24th February 2021 11:00 AM (IST).

The technical details for participation in the said Oral hearing are attached. Interested parties may participate in the oral hearing in case they wish to present such information relevant to the investigation.

Technical Details for participation in the Oral hearing in Anti-Dumping Investigation concerning imports of Aluminium Foil 80 micron and below from China PR, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand on 24th February 2021 at 11:00 AM (IST)

Interested parties may participate in the oral hearing in case they wish to present such information as relevant to the investigation.

An interested party who wishes to join the DVC should provide name of the organization/company, e-mail, mobile no., landline no., (with country/state code), name and email-id of the participating legal representative/coordinator at least 24 hours in advance at the email address adg11-dgtr@gov.in, and dd14-dgtr@gov.in.

Since oral submissions are to be subsequently reproduced in writing by each interested party after the oral hearing, the interested parties are requested to be brief and restrict their oral submissions to key aspects only.

In case, any participant joining the DVC, is unable to complete his/her submission for any technical reason, he/she may file written submission which will be taken on record. Further, all written submissions will be shared amongst all participating interested parties as per the usual practice so as to enable all interested parties to file rejoinders. The time schedule for written submissions and rejoinders will be informed during the oral hearing.

The concerned Embassies/Country representative offices in India are requested to encourage/facilitate participation of the interested parties from their country in the oral hearing through DVC.
