Fourth International Research Conference on Insolvency and Bankruptcy being organized by Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India in association with ISB Hyderabad on 28th and 29th September 2025
- The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), in collaboration with the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad (ISB), is organizing the Fourth International Research Conference on Insolvency and Bankruptcy. The two-day research conference will be held on 28th September 2025 (Sunday) and 29th September 2025 (Monday) at the ISB campus, Hyderabad.
- The Conference will be inaugurated with addresses by eminent dignitaries. The Welcome Address will be delivered by Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean and Professor, ISB. While Dr. Bhushan Kumar Sinha, Whole Time Member, IBBI will set the context of the Conference, Ms. Anita Sha Akella, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs will deliver the Special Address. The Chief Guest of the event, Mr. B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO, NITI Aayog will address the gathering during the inaugural session. The Conference will also feature academic keynote address by Professor Dushyant Vyas, Toronto University as well as industry keynote address by Mr. P.R. Ramesh, Former Chairperson, Deloitte India.

3. A publication titled “Transforming Insolvency Resolution in India”, which is a compilation
of research papers presented during the 3rd International Research Conference held at ISB,
Hyderabad in 2024, will also be released during the conference.
4. Over the course of two days, 24 research papers covering diverse and interdisciplinary
themes on insolvency law, economics, finance, and management will be presented.
5. The conference will serve as a forum for scholars, practitioners, financial sector experts,
policymakers, and industry leaders to exchange views and contribute towards strengthening
the insolvency and bankruptcy ecosystem in India. It will also generate insights on future
evolution of the Code and addressing challenges in making the IBC a more effective
resolution mechanism.
6. At the conclusion of the Conference, ‘Best Paper Awards’ will be distributed.
7. The IBBI encourages professionals, researchers, and stakeholders to participate in this
