Sub: Effective Date of Moratorium on Registration of new fish meal and fish oil units- reg.

A moratorium is being implemented on registration of new fish meal and fish oil units and endorsement on enhancement of production capacity for existing fish meal and fish oil units is to be exercised w.e.f 01.01.2020 vide Office Order Part | No. 09 dated 30.09.2019. Representations have been received in Field Offices requesting to extend the time frame for those applicants who have already constructed the Plant and are in the process of completing the formalities for registration. ,

The competent authorityhas examined and in view of investment the entrepreneurs have already made in the construction of the Plants have decided to allow those applicants who have already applied to MPEDA for registration before 01.01.2020 to complete the formalities of registration such as APE and issue of certificate of Fish Meal and Fish Oil unit etc... up to 31.01.2020. No further extension of date will be given in this matter. -

The rest of the contents of the O.O Part | No. 09 dated 30.09.2019 shall remain unchanged.
