Sub: Extension of Renewal of Certificate of Registration Due to COVID-19 - reg.

It has been represented by various offices that due to COVID -19 linked lock down period, MPEDA registration certificates of processing units, storage premises, handling centres and peeling sheds were unable to be renewed for want of APE visit.

Accordingly instructions may be given to the registering offices to renew the registration as: _

1. Request the units to apply for renewal of registration 2. Condone the time lapse till renewal of registration upto the date of report generation after APE visit in favour of renewal.

2. The date of renewal of registration will have retrospective effect from the date of validity of registration.

In cases of non renewal, non export, violation of Act & Rule etc, renewal will be subject to the provisions of MPEDA Act & Rules. .

All the registering authorities delegated with the power under MPEDA Act & Rules are directed to immediately take necessary actions for renewal of those entities which have not renewed their registration within prescribed time. The order stands valid till the situations improve to arrange APE visit by EIAs and based on the removal of lock down restrictions by the Central as well as respective State Government.
