• 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY (P«rU-Se. 3)} MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 24th January, 2011 GS.R. 65(E).-Whereas draft rules to amend the Explosives Rules, 2008 were published, as required by sub­ section (1) of Section 18 of the Explosives Act, 1884 (4 of 1 884), vide notification of the Govemment of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) Number GS.R. 858(E), dated thc 3rd December, 2(0)9 in he Gazette of India (Extraordinary), Part I1, Section 3, Sub-section (i), dated 3rd December, 2009 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of a pcriod of forty-five days from the date on which the copies of the Gazate containing the said notification were made available to lie public; And whereas, the copies of the said Gazette were Օ made available to the public on 3rd day of December, 20X09; And, whereas, no objections and suggestion have been received by the Central Government; Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by Sections 5 and 7 of the Explosives Act, 1 884 (4 0f 1884), the Central Governinent hercby makes lie following rules, namely :-
