The Commissioner of Customs (General), Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Mumbai Customs Zone-II, herein after referred to as ‘JNCH’, invites online proposals for Annual Contract for Maintenance of Gardening Services and Water Fountain at JNCH. The scope of the work includes maintenance of lawn Area of 4156 Sqm, vertical garden, daily watering and maintenance of trees, cutting/weeding of grass, manuring & maintenance of potted plants supply of mud/manure services, maintenance of fountain at JNCH building. All invited bidders to submit their bids for the subject work as detailed below in accordance with the tender documents enclosed.

2. Scope of work:

Complete maintenance of entire Garden features i.e. Lawn, vertical garden, trees, shrubs, flower buds, cutting and weeding of grass and hedges, potted plants inside and outside building etc. and jobs like hoeing, weeding, daily watering and mowing of lawn twice in a month, pruning of trees/shrubs. Top dressing of garden area with good earth and manure once/twice in a year as per requirement and removal of garden rubbish from the premises, security of plants, spray of pesticides/ insecticides, application of chemical fertilizers etc., maintenance of water fountain for a period of 12 months. Inclusive of T&P charges.

6. The Work consist of maintenance of Gardening services at JNCH and water fountain.

Conditional / Unsolicited tender bid not uploaded on CPP Portal i.e. www.eprocure.gov.in shall not be considered. 3. It shall be ensured that the spare parts / items used for maintenance are fault free i.e. free from material, workmanship and manufacturing defects. The goods supplied shall be of the highest quality. 4. Invited bidders should visit JNCH and inspect the premises before submitting the quotations and if any query or clarification sought for; they may approach the Superintendent of Customs (Prev.), CHS Section, JNCH. 5. The JNCH administration will not be held responsible for any injury to Service Provider’s staffs and loss or damage to Service Provider’s materials, equipment, tools etc. during the contract period.
6. Deployment of trained staffs during office hours. The onus of verifying the antecedents of the persons deputed rests with the Contractor/Service Provider and the Contractor/Service Provider will be held responsible for any act of omission or mishap on the part of the persons deputed.

No other person except Contractor’s/Service Provider’s authorized representatives shall be allowed to enter the office premises.

The prices quoted in the financial Bid should be inclusive of all taxes and cost of maintenance, service, procurement of goods and any other charges etc. The Service Provider should quote the prices for complete maintenance of gardening services and water fountain at JNCH and the office will not pay any extra amount other than the amount mentioned in the financial Bid. 9. The TDS will be deducted as per provision of the Income Tax law. 10. Quotation received after stipulated time will not be entertained. 11. Offers vaguely described or incomplete offers are liable to rejection. 12. The JNCH will apply penalty as below in case of discrepancy in service during contract period: 13. On receiving complaint about any fault, the Service Provider will promptly respond and repair/replace any part or provide required services within 24 hours; failing which penalty shall be levied @ Rs. 500 per day. 14. The Service Provider is responsible for payment of monthly salary including leave salary, bonus, gratuity etc. to the personnel as applicable to them under Law. The Service Provider should ensure that wages are paid on time every month i.e. within 1st week of the following month.

The payment against maintenance contract shall be made monthly after the submission of bills in triplicate and work having been found satisfactory. No advance payment shall be made. 16. The Bidder should strictly follow Minimum Wages Act and other Allied Labour Laws and it is also the responsibility of the Bidder to subscribe to Employees Provident Fund, Insurance Scheme etc. The deduction towards EPF and ESI etc be incorporated in rates being quoted per month basis and the same would not be payable over and above rates thus quoted. This office will not be responsible for making any payment to the labourer. 17. The undersigned reserves the right to cancel any or all tender without assigning any reason whatsoever.
