• reg. The Government of India is a State Party to the ESCO '{!orld Heritage Convention. The Ministry has prepared a nomination dossier f r inscription of 39 Serial Sites in the Western Ghats on the \Yorld Heritage List. As per the decision taken during the 34'h ession of the World Heritage Committee held during July-August 2010 in Brasilia, Brazil, a team of U E CO and ICC representatives would be evaluating the \Vestern Ghats Serial Sites to be nominated on the World Heritage List. In order to deal with matters relating to the inscription and management of the '{!estern Ghats Serial Sites, it has been decided to constitute a Western Ghats larural Heritage Management Committee. '. :2: Terms of Reference: 1. To provide guidance for effective conservation, protection and management of natural heritage of the Western Ghats. 11. To oversee the management systems including protection and integrity of the serial sites included in the \V'estern Ghats nomination dossier. 111. To ensure successful inscription of the Western Ghats on the \X'orld Natural Heritage list lv. Any other matter pertaining to natural heritage management of the \V'estern Ghats. The other conditions with respect to the said Committee would be as under: 1. The non-official members of the Committee would be entitled for travelling and all other allowances as applicable to the non-official members as per Rule SR 190. 2.
