Sub: Constitution of Committee for tackling poaching in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

In pursuance to the decision taken during the 13" meeting of the Standing Committee of Island Development Authority, of the Planning Commission, the Ministry of Environment and Forests has decided to constitute the following Committee to tackle the issue of poaching in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands:

as Terms of Reference:

• (i) To identify areas which are vulnerable to poaching in Andaman & Nicobar islands. (ii) To make recommendations on manpower and other logistic requirements of the A & N Administration to prevent poaching.

• (iii) ‘To make suggestions for better control of poaching in the A & N Islands.

• (iv) The Committee would submit their report by 31" August 2011

4. The Committee may co-opt other experts as per requirement with the prior approval of the Ministry of Environment and Forests.

5. The non-official members of the Committee would be entitled for travelling and all other allowances as applicable to non official members as per SR 190.
