Subject: Minimum specifications for Desktop/Laptop/Tablet required for deploying

NIC's endpoint security tools This Office Memorandum (OM) supersedes the earlier OM of even number dated 04e June 2024, which was issued in reference to OM N o.3(9)2024-E.ll(A) dated 02.05.2024, issued by Department of Expenditure to all Ministries/Deparftnents, directing them to adhere to the minimum specifications prescribed by NIC/lr4eitY on the above mentioned subject. 2. National Informatics centre (NIC) has been deploying cyber security endpoint management tools in desktop/laptop/tablet across Ministries/Departments for enabling centralized command and control of cybersecwity measures. However, it has been observed that some of the desktops/laptops/tablets do not meet the requisite minimum specifications to support these endpoint security tools. 3. In this regard, NIC has proposed the minimum specifications to be mandated for deployment of NIC's endpoint security tools in desktop/laptop/tablet used by the offrce(s)/Department(s) of Govemment of India and the same is attached with this office Memorandum. 4. Accordingly, all Ministries / Departments are requested to ensure compliance with the attached minimum specifications of desktops/laptops/tablets. 5.
