क, िहमाचल देश राय ने वन से बाहर के े म 'रीसस मकाक' क अयिधक सं"या के कारण बड़े पैमाने पर खेती-बाड़ी के न# होने सिहत जीवन और संपि% का नुकसान होने क सूचना दी है :—

क, के&' सरकार ने वन म व&यजीव का संरण सुिनि*त करने के िलए राय म मानव जीवन, फसल और अ&य संपि%य के नुकसान को कम करने के िलए इस जाित क -थानीय सं"या को संतुिलत करना आव0यक समझा है । इसिलए, अब क' सरकार व&यजीव (संरण) अिधिनयम, 1972 (1972 का 53) क धारा 62 1ारा द% शि2य का योग करते 5ए उ2 अिधिनयम क 'अनुसूची II के भाग I क 8म सं 17-ए पर सूचीब: रीसस वानर (मकाका मुलाटा) के इस अिधसूचना के जारी होने क तारीख से छह माह क अविध के िलए वन े को छोड़कर, िशमला नगर िनगम सीमा> के अंतग त पीड़क जंतु के ?प म और इसे उB त अिधिनयम क अनुसूची v म शािमल

MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 14th March, 2016 S.O. 1140(E).—Whereas, the State of Himachal Pradesh has reported harm to life and property including large scale destruction of agriculture due to overpopulation of Rhesus Macaque monkeys in areas outside forests; And whereas, the Central Government has considered it necessary to balance local population of this species to mitigate the damage to human life, crops and other properties of the State for ensuring conservation of wildlife in forests. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 62 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 (53 of 1972), the Central Government, hereby declare the Rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta) listed at serial number 17-A of Part I of Schedule II to the said Act, to be vermin and to be included in Schedule V of the Act, for a period of six months from the date of issue of this notification, in the Shimla Municipal Corporation Area limits, excluding the forest areas.
