[एफ. सं. 1-26/2015-डMयूएल-I] िवनोद रंजन, अपर वन महािनदेशक (व%यजीव) MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd February, 2016 S.O. 374(E).—Whereas, the State of Uttarakhand has reported harm to life and property including large scale destruction of agriculture due to overpopulation of Wild pig in areas outside forests; And whereas, the Central Government has considered it necessary to balance local population of this species to mitigate the damage to human life, crops and other properties of the State for ensuring conservation of wildlife in forests. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 62 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 (53 of 1972), the Central Government, hereby declare Wild pig (Sus scrofa) listed at serial number 19, of Schedule III to the said Act, to be vermin and to be included in Schedule V of the Act, for a period of one year from the date of issue of this notification, in the areas specified below, namely:- I. Areas where the Wild pig (Sus scrofa) shall be deemed to be included in Schedule V in the State of Uttarakhand Sl. No. District Areas (Tehsil) 1. Nainital Nainital, Ramnagar, Kaladhungi, Haldwani 2.
