STANDING ORDER NO. 19 / 2021

Subject: Procedure for putting any consignment/container on hold by SIIB(I), SIIB(X)

and CIU, JNCH–reg. Attention of all Officers under the jurisdiction of JNCH, Mumbai Customs Zone-II is invited to the Standing Order No. 15/2018 dated 04.05.2018 on above mentioned subject that framed the Standing Operating Procedure (SOP) for putting consignment/container on hold in JNCH either at Port area or CFSs.

In Para 4 (a) of the Standing Order No. 15/2018 dated 04.05.2018, the text ‘Joint/Additional Commissioner of Customs’ is hereby replaced with ‘Commissioner of Customs’. Thus, all Hold of consignment/container by SIIB(Import), SIIB(Export) and CIU will be with the approval of concerned Commissioner of Customs.

Difficulty faced, if any, may be brought to the notice of the undersigned at commr- ns5@gov.in.

This issues with the concurrent approval of the Commissioner of Customs, NS-General.
