Sub: - Imports of Onions-reg.

Attention of the all officers and staff of JNCH, particularly, Import Docks, SIIB(Import), all Appraising Groups of all Commissionerates of JNCH is invited to DGFT’s Trade Notice No. 40/2019-20 Dated 02nd December 2019.

In a bid to improve the domestic availability of Onion and check prices. Government is exploring all possible measure to improve the availability of Onion in domestic market. Government has already put a ban on export of Onion. Speedy import is also necessary to boost domestic supply. In this it is of paramount importance to clear import consignments.

It is directed to all the officers to clear Onion consignments on priority basis without delay. Any laxity by the officers in this regard will be viewed seriously.
