Attention of all officers and concerned Staff is invited to the Standing order No. 19/2018 dated 11.06.2018 on the above mentioned subject. 2. In continuation with instruction 03/2016 dated 21.07.2016 and S.O 19/2018 dated 11.06.2018 and in view of ease of doing business and to curtail time taken to grant NOC, following amendment in respect of Para F(i) of S.O 19/2018 is made:- Existing Provision Modified Provision. “In cases where importers (hits by IEC Alerts) are required to seek NOC from ‘Monitoring Cell’ for clearance of live imports, DC/AC, ‘Monitoring Cell’ being satisfied with the submitted documents shall grant NOC for the period of three months at a time. Apart from such case if any deviation and some compliance has not been made by the
licensee and seeking NOC, File may be put up to Jt. Commissioner of Customs for prior approval. In case of some exceptional circumstances or deviations, Jt. Commissioner in turn may seek approval of Commissioner of Customs. 3. Other procedural requirements as outlined in Standing Order 19/2018 dated 11.06.2018 shall continue to be followed with the aforesaid modifications. 4.
