Dated: 13.01.2017 STANDING ORDER NO:- 01/2017 It has been noticed that the Cash Section is not accepting the payment being made by Importer/Custom Broker/other persons consequent to Order-in-Original/ Order-in-Appeal / CESTAT Order / High Court / Supreme Court , Finalisation of Provisional Assessment /delayed payment of duty/ any other reason, unless the Challan for making such payment are certified /authenticated by Asstt. Commissioner / Deputy Commissioner of the concerned section or group.

2.   In order to ensure that there is no delay in issue of acknowledgment, it is 
   

directed to all concerned that Cash Section shall accept payment on submission of properly filled up Challan (Copy of “Revised Challan” is enclosed as Annexure to this Standing Order) without insisting for authentication/signature by Asstt. Commissioner/Deputy Commissioner/Appraiser/Supdt (P)/ACAO. However, it should be ensured that one copy of acknowledgment is sent to the concern Group / Section on the same day and acknowledgment isobtained on the register / Office copy of Challan.
