Adjudication Cell (CAC), JNCH – Reg. -----

Attention of all the Officers/Staff of the Assessment Groups, Sections and Intelligence Units at JNCH is invited to the S.O No. 16/2012 of JNCH, Mumbai Zone-II with regard to the issuance of Show Cause Notices.

2. It is hereby directed that show cause notices issued by all the sections, Assessment Groups and Intelligence Units (SIIB(X), SIIB (I), CIU) of Mumbai Zone-II shall be registered with the Centralised Adjudication Cell (CAC) before the issuance of the SCNs from their respective Groups/Sections/Units. Registration means Central Adjudication Cell (CAC)will allocate Serial Nos to the all the SCNs in the Register. Section includes all sections of the JNCH i.e. Drawback, Container Cell, DEEC Monitoring Cell, EPCG Monitoring Cell, UB Centre, CFS Management Cell, Import Noting etc.

3. Central Adjudication Cell (CAC) will maintain a Register containing all the necessary details of the SCNs. They will also enter the details of OIO issued in respect of such SCNs after receipt of copy of OIO from Adjudicating Authority. Aforesaid details should also be maintained in soft form.

4. In this respect, it is also directed that all the Groups/Sections and Intelligence Units will be required to take centralised SCN Sr. No. from CAC (Admin) before issuance of the SCNand also submit the copy of the SCN to CAC in hard and soft form for the maintenance of database.

5. Any difficulty noticed in the implementation of the Standing Order may be brought to the notice of the undersigned.

This issues with approval of the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone-II.
