The lollowing are the observations: - l . vi. 'l'otal area of land demarcatcd is a single piece of land, contiguous in nature. admeasuring 50.58 lla (I25 acres approx). The land has no public thoroughfare. The western end of the proposed area apeears to be quite narrow (280 ft. approx.) which appears to be chicken-neck like formation. BIADA of'ficials were advised to wide it including the adjoining area. The revised map. if agreed to by BIADA. may be incorporated in the proposed plan ofthe SEZ area. This area is vacant land and it has been certified by the Deputy Collector, l,and Reports. Bettiah Sadar of the Slale Covt. that the entire land is liee f'rom all encumbrances and has been acquired by BIADA fbr industrial use. l'he land is approximately l0 km from the National Highway (NH-7278) and is approachable with a road having width ol'80 f-eet. 'Ihe nearest port is Kolkata which is 642 Km away. I'he nearest railway station Kumarbagh is I Km away from site. l'he nearest airporl Kushinagar (U.P.) is 90 Kms away. Therefore. the proposed site is well connected. 'I'here are no forest land or water bodies within the proposed SEZ area. h was reported by the BIADA oflicials that the power in the proposed SEZ will be sourced from thc North Bihar Distribution Company Ltd. The industrial water supply will be made by the ground water sources. The Developer i.e., BIADA, Deptt.
