PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 29 /2020

Subject: Forwarding of samples for testing to the Outside Laboratories-reg.

A number of representations have been received regarding testing of samples that cannot be at present tested in DYCC Lab, JNCH, especially for the goods pertaining to Group- I & IA. The issue was discussed with lab In- Charge of DYCC Lab, JNCH and it has been decided that as a temporary measure, the following items will be facilitated for testing to outside laboratories as detailed below for four months from the date of issuance of the Public Notice.

S. No. Items Name and address of Laboratory 1. MEK in Inks & Pigments, Animal Feeds, M/s. Geo Chem Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Pragati Building, Near Cropmton Greaves, Kanjur Marg (E) Mumbai.

As per section 145 of the CA 1962, the importer/owner of the goods has to bear the cost of testing for the above notified Lab. 3. In case of any difficulty, the specific issue may be brought to the notice of the Additional Commissioner of Customs in Charge of DYCC, JNCH. 4. Action to be taken in terms of decision taken in this Public Notice should be considered as Standing Order for the purpose of officers and staff.
