Introduction of “Project Imports module” in ICES at JNCH

VI Date: 17.06.2019 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 56 /2019 Sub: Introduction of “Project Imports module” in ICES at JNCH-reg. Attention of all the stakeholders, importers, exporters, custom brokers, & all officers is invited to the Public Notice No. 54/2019, dated 14.06.2019 issued by this custom house, on the above mentioned subject. 2. As has been explained in the above said PN, ICES has developed a Project Import module under which the various processes, right from project registration, ledger maintenance & finalization, hitherto done manually are available in the system. As a first step, the registration of Projects and Project Import Bonds have been enabled in the System and the field formations have been advised to complete the same expeditiously for the existing Projects and continue doing it for any new Projects hereafter. 3. Further, it is informed that second phase of the module is slated for roll out from 19.06.2019, after which no Bills of Entry related to Project Imports ( with CTH 9801) would be allowed to be filed, unless the corresponding Project Registration Number and Bond Number is quoted in the Declaration . 4. Difficulties faced, if any, in implementation of these instructions may be broughtto the notice of the Additional/ Joint Commissioner of Customs, NS-V, JNCH. 5. Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice should be considered as standing order for the purpose of officers and staff.
