• Sub: Examination of e-scaled factory stuffed export cargo on Sundays & holidays — reg.

• Attention of the exporters, their agents, CFSs coming under the

• jurisdiction of JNCH, Nhava Sheva and all other stakeholders is invited to Public Notice No. 64/2017, dated 22.05.2017 issued by JNCH in relation to assessment, examination & clearance of export consignments.

• 2. Even though customs is working on.24 X 7 basis as regards to various customs activities and committed to provide efficient and prompt services. it has been represented by the trade and industry that they are facing difficulties w.r.t. export cargo consignments routed through the parking plazas, if selected for open and examination on Sundays and holidays due to which export consignments are delayed. The trade during Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee meetings has also raised the issue that self-sealed perishables / temperature sensitive cargo in refrigerated containers, if selected for examination on Sundays or holidays, may miss the vessel due to non-availability examination facilities in CFSs on Sundays / holidays. Therefore, a need is perceived to provide a mechanism / institutional set up so that there is no delay in clearance of such consignments.
• 3. Considering above, it has been decided that on the basis of the willingness received from the CFSs, Punjab Conware, Speedy Multimodes and Seabird Marine Services Pvt. Ltd., necessary infrastructure facility for examination / LEO of cargo on Sundays and holidays, shall be available at the above CFSs. The tariff card showing the charges for handling the export cargo on Sundays and holidays is enclosed as Annex A,B & C to this public notice.
• 4. The AO/ Supdt. posted at the parking plazas shall examine the cargo as per RMS instructions on Sundays and holidays and Let Export Order (LEO) of such shipping bills will be granted by the parking plaza officer (Supdt. / ae
